زار السفير الدكتور هيثم ابو سعيد (رئيس بعثة المجلس الدولي لحقوق الإنسان واللجنة الدولية لحقوق الإنسان إلى الأمم المتحدة في جنيف) سورية في زيارة خاصة إلى دمشق حيث إلتقى عدد من المسؤولين ورافقه في الزيارة مستشاريه الدكتورة ناهد الحسيني والاستاذ أديب أسعد، ولدى وصوله إلى دير صيدنايا حيث مكث فيه والتفى رئيسة الدير الام فيبرونيا نبهان والتي قلدته أيقونة بركة صيدنايا.

وفي اليوم التالي عقد السفير أبو سعيد لقاء مع عضو مجلس الشعب السوري ومدير مكتب اللجنة الدكتور نبيل طعمه بحضور المستشارين الدكتورة ناهد الحسيني والاستاذ أديب أسعد لقاء في المكتب وتم استعراض كامل للمشهد الإنساني والحقوقي في لبنان وسورية والمنطقة، والتوافق على برنامج العمل من أجل تحسين أداء العمل الحقوقي والتشريعي. وفي نهاية اللقاء سلم السفير أبو سعيد قرار تجديد تعيين الدكتورة الحسيني كمدير مكتب الاعلام والتنسيق في سورية.

كما إلتقى سماحة المفتي الشيخ الدكتور بدر الدين حسون وناقش معه قضايا إنسانية ووطنية على مستوى كيفية الحفاظ على العيش المشترك من أجل الحفاظ على الأمن المجتمعي السوري وفي المنطقة، وسبل مقاربة القضايا الأساسية التي تهم شعوب الأقليم والعالم. 

وإلتقى خلال إقامته رئيس المجلس السياسي للحزب السوري القومي الاجتماعي الاستاذ صفوان سلمان بحضور كبار المسؤولين والنواب وتم البحث في بعض القضايا ذات طابع عمل اللجنة الدولية في مجلس حقوق الإنسان في جنيڤ. كما تمت المداولات عن آلية التنسيق المطلوبة من أجل الولوج إلى تقديم القضايا الوطنية لسورية وإعادة حقوقها ضمن نقاط قانونية دولية.

وختم زياراته مع الدكتورة عليا الأسد (رئيسة مركز جامعة دمشق لنقل الدم) وبحث معها قضايا سياسية لبنانية وإقليمية، وكان هناك تطابقاً في وجهات النظر خصوصا ما يتعلق بكيفية الحفاظ على سلامة المواطن السوري والعربي في مختلف مجالات القضايا الحياتية التي تهم الوطن العربي. 

وفي ختام زيارته قبل السفير أبو سعيد والوفد المرافق دعوة النائب الدكتور نبيل طعمة (مدير مكتب اللجنة إلى سورية) إلى مائدة الغداء.

غادر بعدها متجهاً إلى لبنان بعد ان شكر كل من التقاهم لما قدموه من حوارات ايجابية وحفاوة الاستقبال

Ambassador Dr. Haitham Abu Saeed (Head of Mission of the International Council for Human Rights and the International Commission for Human Rights to the United Nations in Geneva) visited Syria on a private visit to Damascus, where he met a number of officials and was accompanied on the visit by his advisors Dr. Nahed Al-Husseini and Professor Adeeb Asaad, and upon his arrival at Saydnaya Monastery Where the abbess of the monastery, Mother Febronia Nabhan, stayed and imitated him the icon of Pond Saydnaya.
The next day, Ambassador Abu Saeed held a meeting with a member of the Syrian People's Assembly and the director of the committee's office, Dr. Nabil Tohme, in the presence of the advisors, Dr. Nahed Al-Husseini and Professor Adeeb Asaad. legal and legislative. At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Abu Saeed handed over the decision to renew the appointment of Dr. Al-Husseini as Director of the Information and Coordination Office in Syria.
The Mufti also met Sheikh Dr. Badr Hassoun and discussed with him humanitarian and national issues on the level of how to maintain coexistence in order to preserve the security of the Syrian community and the region, and ways to approach the basic issues of concern to the peoples of the region and the world.
During his stay, he met with the head of the Political Council of the Syrian Social Nationalist Party, Mr. Safwan Salman, in the presence of senior officials and representatives, and they discussed some issues of the nature of the work of the International Committee at the Human Rights Council in Geneva. Discussions also took place on the required coordination mechanism in order to enter into presenting Syria's national issues and restoring its rights within international legal points.
He concluded his visits with Dr. Alia Al-Assad (head of the Damascus University Center for Blood Transfusion) and discussed with her Lebanese and regional political issues, and he was identical in viewpoints, especially with regard to how to preserve the safety of the Syrian and Arab citizen in various fields of life issues that concern the Arab world.
At the end of his visit, Ambassador Abu Saeed and the accompanying delegation hosted Representative Dr. Nabil Tohme (Director of the Committee's Office to Syria) at the lunch table.

L'ambassadeur Dr Haitham Abu Saeed (chef de mission du Conseil international des droits de l'homme et de la Commission internationale des droits de l'homme auprès des Nations Unies à Genève) s'est rendu en Syrie lors d'une visite privée à Damas, où il a rencontré un certain nombre de responsables et était accompagné lors de la visite de ses conseillers, le Dr Nahed Al-Husseini et le professeur Adib Assaad, et à son arrivée au monastère de Saydnaya où l'abbesse du monastère, Mère Febronia Nabhan, est restée et elle l'a imité l'icône de l'étang Saydnaya.


Le lendemain, l'ambassadeur BOU-SAID a tenu une réunion avec un membre de l'Assemblée du peuple syrien et le directeur du bureau du comité, Dr Nabil Tohme, en présence des conseillers, Dr Nahed Al-Husseini et Monsieur Adeeb Asaad. et législative. A la fin de la réunion, l'ambassadeur Abu Saeed a rendu la décision de renouveler la nomination du Dr Al-Husseini au poste de directeur du bureau d'information et de coordination en Syrie.
IL a également rencontré le Mufti Cheikh Dr. Badr Hassoun et a discuté avec lui des questions humanitaires et nationales au niveau de la façon de maintenir la coexistence afin de préserver la sécurité de la communauté syrienne et de la région, et des moyens d'aborder les questions fondamentales qui préoccupent le peuples de la région et du monde.


Au cours de son séjour, il a rencontré le chef du Conseil politique du Parti social nationaliste syrien, M. Safwan Salman, en présence de hauts fonctionnaires et de représentants parlementaires et ont discuté de certaines questions relatives à la nature des travaux du Comité international à Conseil des droits de l'homme à Genève. Des discussions ont également eu lieu sur le mécanisme de coordination nécessaire pour entrer dans la présentation des problèmes nationaux de la Syrie et la restauration de ses droits dans le cadre du droit international.


Il a conclu ses visites avec le Dr Alia Al-Assad (responsable du Centre universitaire de transfusion sanguine de Damas) et a discuté avec elle des questions politiques libanaises et régionales, et ses points de vue étaient identiques, notamment en ce qui concerne la manière de préserver la sécurité du Citoyen syrien et arabe dans divers domaines de la vie qui concernent le monde arabe.
À la fin de sa visite, l'Ambassadeur Abu Saeed et la délégation qui l'accompagnait ont accueilli le Représentant Dr. Nabil Tohme (Directeur du Bureau du Comité en Syrie) à la table du déjeuner.
